Phemo Matlhabe is an award winning visual artist based in the Johannesburg metropolitan area of South Africa, his artworks are collected by a number of Institutions, who are and not limited to Absa, Old Mutual, Klerksdorp museum, Bag factory art studios, University of Johannesburg etc.

Originally from North West, he was inspired to be an artist through his childhood passion of sculpting, where he would depict everyday life in his home village. It is through practice where he soon learnt different modes of expression and now feels that painting as his preferred mode of alleviation.
